Industrial Decline in Bosnia – December-25-2023
In November 2023, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s industrial production took a significant hit, dropping by 8% compared to the same period last year. This followed a smaller decrease of 2.5% in October. This downturn marked the third straight month of contraction, with the most severe decline since April. The drop was largely due to a decrease in the production of intermediate goods (-15.4%), durables (-16.3%), and non-durables (-7.6%). Additionally, the production of energy and capital goods also slowed down. After adjusting for seasonal variations, the overall industrial activity fell by 2.4%, a reversal from the 2.7% decrease seen in October.
