A slight uptick was observed in the unemployment figures, with an increase of 300, reaching 74,600 in total. Delving into the specifics, there was a minor rise in the number of individuals receiving unemployment benefits, growing by 500 to reach 65,100.
In contrast, those receiving social assistance due to unemployment decreased marginally by 100, summing up to 9,500. Concurrently, the unemployment rate among the youth (ages 16 to 24) remained constant at 1.2 percent, indicating a steady job market for the younger demographic.
