FDI in Vietnam: A 2023 Analysis

In 2023, Vietnam saw a 3.5% increase in foreign direct investment (FDI). This brought the total to USD 23.18 billion. This was the highest since 1991. FDI pledges also increased. They went up by 32.1% from the previous year to USD 36.6 billion. These pledges indicate future FDI disbursements. The top sources of this foreign investment were Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong.
