Spain Producer Price Deflation: 2023 Overview
In November 2023, Spain producer prices dropped by 7.4%. This is a slight improvement from the revised 7.7% fall in October. This marks the ninth month of deflation in producer prices. However, it’s the mildest since May. The decrease in energy prices was less severe, at -23% compared to -23.4% in October.
The rate of price increase slowed for consumer goods, down to 7.2% from 8%. Capital goods also saw a slowdown, with prices increasing by 2.5% instead of 2.6%. Prices for intermediate goods remained stable at -5.5%. On a monthly basis, producer prices fell by 2% in November, a further decline from the revised 1.4% drop in October.
