Taiwan Consumer Morale Peaks: December 27-2023
In Taiwan, December 2023 witnessed a noteworthy uplift in consumer morale, as evidenced by the consumer confidence index reaching 70.06, a notable rise from November’s 69.40. This level hasn’t been seen since April 2022. The increase was fueled by heightened optimism in three key areas: expectations for prices in the next six months, the best time to invest in stocks, and the ideal moment for purchasing durable goods. Despite this upbeat trend, there was a slight dip in other aspects such as domestic economic sentiment, the overall economic forecast, and employment opportunities.
