In November 2023, Taiwan’s industrial production took a dip, falling 2.48% from the previous year. This followed a slightly smaller decrease of 2.27% in October. This downturn marked the eighteenth straight month of industrial decline. Key sectors like manufacturing, mining and quarrying, and electricity and gas supply continued to see a reduction in output, with rates of -2.18%, -8.18%, and -9.21% respectively. However, there was a silver lining as the water supply sector saw a slight rebound, with an output increase of 0.18%.
